'MAGICAL MOMENT' - LAGU TEMA ANIMASI 3D KRU

Bersempena dengan pemasaran filem Bahasa Inggeris Animasi 3D pertama terbitan KRU Studios berjudul 'Ribbit' untuk pasaran tempatan dan antarabangsa, KRU Music dengan bangganya mempersembahkan lagu tema filem tersebut berjudul 'Magical Moment' yang dinyanyikan oleh Jaclyn Victor dan kumpulan Az Yet!

'Magical Moment' telah dicipta dan digubah oleh Edry Abdul Halim dengan lirik nukilan ahli kumpulan Az Yet sendiri yang terdiri daripada Dion Allen, Shawn Rivera, Kenny Terry dan Claude Thomas. Ini merupakan satu lagi titik kejayaan buat Jaclyn Victor sejak bernaung dibawah KRU Music pada Januari 2012. Jac, pemenang AIM Persembahan Vokal Wanita Terbaik baru-baru ini; begitu teruja kerana dapat berpadu suara dengan artis berkumpulan bertaraf antarabangsa.

“Saya sangat terharu bila diberikan peluang ini kerana saya tidak sangka dapat merakamkan lagu dengan sebuah artis berkumpulan antarabangsa yang sangat disegani dan saya harap semua orang akan menyukai lagu ini,” ujar Jaclyn Victor.

Ini juga merupakan lagu Bahasa Inggeris pertama buat Jac yang dirakam bersama KRU Music selepas merakamkan dua buah lagu Melayu iaitu 'Sebelah Jiwaku' dan 'Jagalah Diri' sebelum ini. Bagi kumpulan Az Yet pula, ini adalah satu kemunculan semula yang dinanti-nantikan peminat bukan saja di Asia tetapi juga di seluruh dunia.



Az Yet pernah merakamkan sebuah album pada tahun 1996 dibawah LaFace Records. Album tersebut menampilkan nama-nama terbesar industri muzik Amerika seperti David Foster, Babyface, Sheila E. dan Brian McKnight.

Untuk info, single pertama mereka, 'Last Night', mencapai tempat ke sembilan di carta US Hot 100, nombor satu di carta R&B, nombor dua di carta ARIA Australia dan menduduki tempat pertama selama dua minggu di carta RIANZ di New Zealand. Malah mereka juga mendapat pingat platinum di Amerika Syarikat.



Manakala Single kedua mereka , 'Hard to Say I'm Sorry' (nyanyian semula lagu asal kumpulan Chicago), dicalonkan untuk anugerah Grammy (kategori Persembahan vokal R&B berkumpulan terbaik), mencapai tempat kelapan di carta Hot 100, dan turut mendapat penghargaan peringkat platinum. Dengan kejayaan kedua-dua lagu tersebut, album itu mendapat pingat multi-platinum RIAA (Persatuan Industri Rakaman Amerika).

Filem animasi 'Ribbit' akan dipasarkan pada penggal kedua tahun ini dan menampilkan suara bintang-bintang antarabangsa ternama seperti Sean Astin dari filem Lord of The Rings, Tim Curry serta Russell Peters.





MAGICAL MOMENT (English)

In conjunction with the release of KRU Studios’ first English language 3D animation feature film entitled 'Ribbit', KRU Music is proud to present “Magical Moment”, the film’s theme song performed by Malaysia’s very own Jaclyn Victor and international R&B group Az Yet!

'Magical Moment' is composed and produced by Edry Abdul Halim with lyrics by the members of Az Yet themselves, namely Dion Allen, Shawn Rivera, Kenny Terry and Claude Thomas.

This marks another milestone for Jaclyn Victor after signing with KRU Music in January 2012. Jac, the winner of the recent AIM Best Female Vocal Performance, is thrilled to share the song with such a renowned international act.

“I am honoured to be given this opportunity as I never imagined that one day I would be recording with such an established international vocal group, and I hope everyone will like the song,” explained Jaclyn Victor.

This will also be Jac’s first ever English single with KRU Music following the releases of 'Sebelah Jiwaku' and 'Jagalah Diri'. As for the group Az Yet, this will be a much awaited comeback by the fans not only in Asia but also globally.

Az Yet released their self-titled debut album in 1996 under LaFace Records. The album featured musical heavyweights, including David Foster, Babyface, Sheila E., and Brian McKnight. Their first single, 'Last Night', reached #9 on the US Hot 100, #1 on the R&B charts, peaked at #2 on Australia's ARIA charts, and spent 2 weeks at #1 in New Zealand's RIANZ charts, ultimately achieving platinum status in the US.

The group's second single, 'Hard to Say I'm Sorry' (a cover of the Chicago hit), was nominated for a Grammy award (Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals), reached #8 on the Hot 100, and achieved platinum status. Driven by these two singles, the album reached multi-platinum status from the RIAA (The Recording Industry Association of America).

The feature film 'Ribbit' will be released in the second half of this year featuring the voices of internationally-acclaimed stars such as Sean Astin of Lord of The Rings fame, Tim Curry and Russell Peters.
